Login to the WordPress website backend (dashboard), select Add Plugin in Plugins, search for Compress JPEG & PNG images, and after you find the plugin (as below), click Install Now, and select Enable Plugin after installation.
In Compress JPEG & PNG images plugin management, select Settings, we can make relevant settings for the plugin.
Tinify account: plugin account, new users can directly register an account with their own email, after registration it will generate the corresponding API key.
New image uploads: New image uploads settings, the default is to automatically compress new images in the background.
Image sizes: image size settings, the default is to select all 8 sizes, we recommend that you retain the original image, Medium large and Large three sizes on it. Because the other sizes are generally rarely used, and the free trial limit is 500 times a month compression.
