Affiliate program in which an online merchant selling a product, pays a commission to the affiliate site for any sales generated by their referral traffic. The affiliate site places an affiliate link to the merchant site to track the transaction. Each agreement between a member and a merchant has a commission structure and payment information.

Three Roles in Affiliate Marketing
Merchant. For example, a retailer selling a product.
Member. For example, a product review site links to a product on a retailer’s website.
The consumer visits the affiliate site, clicks on the affiliate link to the retailer’s site and purchases the retailer’s products.
How do I join the Affiliate Program?
There are two main types of programs: self-hosted programs and programs in the affiliate network.
First, run the self-hosted program on your company’s website using the affiliate software tool. You can join these programs by searching for “Brand + Affiliate Programs”, finding their program page, and filling out the application form.
On the other hand, programs can exist within a network of members – a group of merchants offering their links in a secure place. These networks allow you to join new programs in different industries, view reports, check commissions and get your affiliate links added to your site.
Whichever method is used, there is automatic approval or manual approval. Some programs accept anyone. Some will add you automatically if you meet certain benchmarks. Many programs require the membership manager to manually check your application.
What are the requirements to join the affiliate program?
To join the affiliate program, it is recommended that you have a website and a payment method – either a PayPal account or Payoneer – I recommend the latter, Payoneer, for a lower fee.
Although you can promote the affiliate product without a website by adding a link to social media, this is best suited for people with social media influence, and I recommend that you have at least one website.
I recommend you have a well-designed website and remember that security is important and requires the installation of HTTPS SSL certification.
How do I know this is a high commission affiliate program?
The first two things to look for are the commission rate and the average order value (AOV). Remember, high rate x high average order value = more affiliate revenue. Next, look at the duration of the cookie and the potential earnings per click (EPC).
There are four things to keep in mind in the best high commission plans.
1. Commission rates.
The percentage of sales funded by the advertiser to affiliates for referring new customers. This percentage can range from a low single digit to 50% or higher.
2. Average Order Value (AOV).
The average dollar amount spent per customer to complete an order. To calculate AOV, divide your total revenue by the number of orders.
3. Earnings Per Click (EPC).
The amount of revenue a member earns per click from a member link to an advertiser’s website. This definition is somewhat misleading because the true definition of EPC is the number of earnings per 100 clicks.
4. Cookie duration.
A cookie is a value stored on the end-user’s computer that is used to track member sales. Duration is the amount of time a cookie remains on the site after a click on a member’s link.
For example, a cookie is valid for 30 days, which means that if a user clicks on an affiliate link and makes a purchase within 30 days, the affiliate will receive credit for the sale.
It doesn’t make sense if you can only charge 5% ($0.50) commission on each $10 pair of socks.
Alternatively, it would be better to earn 8% commission on a $1,200 treadmill and earn $96. Since your membership site can only generate so much traffic per month, you should promote the products that offer EPC.
Finally, the last metric to look for is a longer cookie duration.
You can find sites online that last from 7 days to 90 days or more, and longer cookie duration is what I recommend.
Remember, you need high spend, high AOV and long cookie duration.
Affiliate Marketing Tips
make money with affiliate marketing
Affiliate marketers don’t want to focus on these four affiliate concepts alone and just blindly recommend any product because their affiliate commission is high.
1.You need to promote products that you like and know well
Online users can quickly find false recommendations and want to learn from actual experience. Therefore, it is important to be truthful about your product reviews.
So how can you stay on top of emerging trends in the market and join the most advanced and upcoming high-priced affiliate programs?
2. Research emerging products
Currently, fashion is the most popular membership marketing category, accounting for 18.7% of campaigns, followed by sports, health and wellness.
Emerging membership markets may include virtual reality (VR), the Internet of Things (IoT), 3D printing, wearable technology and drones.
If you portray yourself as a relationship expert or budding love guru, then another emerging category is dating membership marketing. With the number of dating sites and apps increasing more than ever and competition growing, dating sites are using members to recommend their platforms and attract more users.
Similarly, another big trend is mobile membership marketing and CPA networks. Mobile CPA membership networks and push notification companies help members push traffic to smartphone apps and mobile device platforms.
